Buyer's guide 2026

The best AI SEO tools in 2026, compared

By Pavlo Fedotov, Founder of Seonix · Facts verified October 9, 2026

The best AI SEO tool is the one that takes the most work off your plate for the least money per result. Seonix, which we build, covers the full loop for $49 a month: keyword research, 30 published articles, a technical site audit, and tracking in Google Search Console and ChatGPT. Frase and Writesonic are the strongest picks if you want to optimize content and track AI search yourself. SEOWriting.ai is the cheapest way to produce drafts in bulk, at $19 for up to 50, and ZimmWriter suits unlimited volume on your own AI API keys.

Below, all ten tools are checked against their official pricing pages as of October 9, 2026, including the details vendors keep off the front page: real article quotas, trial limits and refund terms. The list covers tools that research, write, optimize, publish or track content; keyword databases and backlink indexes are covered in the section on Semrush and Ahrefs.

We build Seonix, so it sits first on this list. Read it as a vendor's guide: every fact about the other nine tools comes from their own public pages, and their strengths are listed alongside their weaknesses.

What an AI SEO tool should do for you

SEO is six recurring jobs. Writing is only one of them, which is why a tool that only writes rarely moves rankings on its own. Use them as the yardstick when you read the reviews below.

01

Find what people search

Pull queries with real search demand that your customers type, not keywords that only sound right.

02

Write from what already ranks

Match the page format Google rewards for each query and cover the topics the top pages cover.

03

Optimize every page

Titles, meta descriptions, headings, internal links to your real pages, images and structured data, done at creation.

04

Publish on schedule

Post straight to your CMS at a set cadence, with an approval step when you want one.

05

Track Google and AI answers

Show rankings and clicks from your own Search Console, and whether assistants such as ChatGPT mention you.

06

Fix and refresh

Audit the whole site for technical problems and rewrite articles that start losing positions.

Seonix

seonix.ai

SEO and AI-search automation with a real technical site audit

Price$49per month
Articles / mo30
Per article$1.63
PublishesSite auditAI visibilityFree start

Our take: Choose it if you want one subscription to research, write, publish, audit the site and report results, so your part is approving the plan rather than operating tools. The trade-off: it is younger than most tools here (founded 2026) and has no bundled backlink network. Our own refund is limited too: 14 days for a first subscription, and only while nothing has been generated.

The Seonix article editor with a live SEO score of 97 and readability of 95
Every article opens in the editor with a live SEO and readability score before it goes out.

Pros

  • 30 published articles a month for $49 — about $1.63 per article, the lowest among autopilots with a published 30-article quota
  • Whole-site technical audit with one-click fixes is included, not sold separately
  • AI-visibility scans show where your brand appears in ChatGPT answers
  • You can start at $0 (full audit, no card) and test publishing with a $1 trial before subscribing

Cons

  • Younger than most tools on this list (founded 2026)
  • No native Framer or Notion connector — other stacks go through the REST API
  • No bundled backlink network — a deliberate choice, but link building stays on you
What it is and how it is priced›

Seonix researches keywords, writes and publishes SEO articles on schedule, and tracks how you rank in Google and whether ChatGPT mentions your brand. Beyond content, it continuously audits the whole site — broken links, duplicates, missing meta, schema gaps — and fixes many issues in one click. Publishing covers WordPress (with a deep plugin), Ghost, Webflow, Shopify and Wix, plus a REST API for custom stacks, in 50+ languages.

Publishes to: WordPress, Ghost, Webflow, Shopify, Wix, REST API

Best for: Small businesses that want content, technical SEO, and AI-search visibility handled by one $49 subscription.

Our take: Choose Frase if you want to steer content optimization yourself, with a site audit and AI-visibility tracking in the same place. Choose Seonix if volume matters: Frase Starter includes 10 articles at $4.90 each, Seonix 30 at about $1.63.

  • Content Guard fixes need your approval by default, with opt-in automatic low-risk fixes

Cons

  • Starter is one seat and one site; the content calendar only arrives on Professional

  • No refund terms published; the trial is capped at 5 articles, 50 audit pages and 25 prompts
What it is and how it is priced›

Starter at $49/mo ($39 yearly) covers 10 articles and 50 audit pages a month, with 50 tracked prompts across ChatGPT and Google AI; Professional ($129) lifts that to 40 articles, 250 audit pages and 200 prompts, adds Perplexity and a content calendar; Scale ($299) reaches 100 articles, 1,000 pages and 500 prompts across five AI platforms. Once enabled, the agent can publish on its own to WordPress, Webflow, Sanity, Wix or the hosted FraseCMS, while Content Guard fixes wait for your approval by default. The 7-day trial needs no card.

Publishes to: WordPress, Webflow, Sanity, Wix, hosted FraseCMS

PublishesSite auditAI visibilityFree start

Our take: Choose BabyLoveGrowth if you want partner backlinks and social posts bundled with your articles, plus daily AI-prompt tracking. Choose Seonix if you would rather have a full technical site audit and pay less: $49 against €99 for the same 30 articles.

Pros

  • Only a 3-day trial, no free plan
  • The audit is GEO-focused (schema, metadata, structure) rather than a full technical crawl

BabyLoveGrowth writes and auto-publishes 30 AEO/SEO articles a month and tracks how 10 prompts answer in ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini. The Grow plan is €99/month billed monthly (listed at €247; about 40% less billed yearly) and bundles backlinks from its partner network (its own claim: $800+/month worth from 4,000+ sites), Reddit and Quora agents, a weekly Instagram/Facebook post made from your articles, and a GEO-focused site audit. Scale is €399/month (€199 billed yearly) for 120 articles in four languages, 50 tracked prompts and a dedicated 1-on-1 specialist. Writesonic

writesonic.com

AI search-visibility platform with site audits, AI fixes and 15 articles a month on Starter

Price$79per month, billed yearly
Articles / mo15
Per article$5.27
Publishes· WordPressSite auditAI visibilityFree start

Our take: Choose Writesonic if tracking and fixing how ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews describe you matters more than publishing volume. Choose Seonix if articles are the main job: Writesonic Starter includes 15 a month from $79 billed annually, Seonix 30 for $49.

Pros

  • Site audits with Automatic AI Fixes on every plan — 10 a month of 100 pages each on Starter
  • AI-visibility tracking from Starter: 50 prompts daily across ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews; Growth adds sentiment analysis
  • Enterprise tracks all eight AI platforms — the widest coverage in this pool, at custom pricing
  • Free trial with no card, plus a 7-day no-questions-asked refund

Cons

  • About $5.27 per article at the annual rate ($6.60 monthly) against Seonix's $1.63 — and only 15 articles a month on Starter
  • The advertised prices are annual: billed monthly, Starter is about $99, roughly 20% more
  • WordPress is the only publishing target, and no scheduled autopilot publishing is described
  • Starter is tight: 1 user, 1 project, 1 writing style, visibility tracking in a single market
What it is and how it is priced›

Writesonic now calls itself an AI Search Visibility Platform rather than a writer. Starter — $79/mo billed annually, about $99 billed monthly — bundles 15 AI articles, 10 site audits a month (100 pages each) with Automatic AI Fixes, and daily tracking of 50 prompts across ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews in one market. Basic ($199) and Growth ($399, both annual rates) raise that to 25 and 50 articles, 100 and 200 prompts; Enterprise covers all eight AI platforms at custom pricing. Publishing goes to WordPress only, and no scheduled autopilot is described — the content side stays in your hands.

Publishes to: WordPress; Google Search Console, GA4 and Looker Studio as data connections

Best for: Marketing teams that care more about tracking and fixing their AI-search visibility than about publishing volume, and already run WordPress.

Outrank

outrank.so

Popular content autopilot with a credit-based backlink exchange

Price$99per month
Articles / mo30
Per article$3.30
PublishesSite auditAI visibilityFree start

Our take: Choose Outrank if you publish to Framer or Notion, which Seonix does not connect to natively, or want its credit-based backlink exchange. Choose Seonix for a technical site audit and AI-visibility scans, which Outrank's plan does not list, at $49 instead of $99 for 30 articles.

Pros

  • 150+ languages — tied with Arvow for the widest language support here
  • Broad CMS coverage, including Framer, Notion and Next.js
  • Volume options up to 90 articles a month and multi-site discounts of 10–20%

Cons

  • $99/mo for 30 articles — about $3.30 per article, twice Seonix's $49 for the same 30
  • Trial output is watermarked until you pay
  • Backlinks come from a credit exchange among customer sites — your site hosts links to earn links, a model some owners deliberately avoid
  • No technical site audit or AI-visibility tooling in the plan
What it is and how it is priced›

Outrank generates and publishes SEO articles on autopilot under a single "Organic Growth" plan: $99/month (listed at $199) for 30 articles, with options for 8, 60 or 90 and multi-site discounts. Its strengths are breadth — 150+ languages and integrations from WordPress and Webflow to Framer, Notion and Next.js — and a Backlink Exchange: Outrank places links to your site inside articles it publishes for other customers, and you earn the credits for that by hosting links in articles on yours. Trial articles carry an Outrank watermark until you subscribe; first-time subscribers can request a refund within 7 days (Terms of Use).

Publishes to: WordPress, WordPress.com, Webflow, Shopify, Framer, Wix, Notion, Ghost, Next.js, webhooks

Best for: Teams publishing in many languages or on niche CMSs that want bundled link building.

Content-optimization suite with AI-prompt tracking and a GEO content audit

Price$59per month, list price
Articles / mo5
Per article$11.80
Publishes· from PlusSite auditAI visibilityFree start

Our take: Choose Scalenut if your team writes and optimizes by hand and wants keyword clusters and AI-prompt tracking in one workspace. Choose Seonix if you want articles published for you: Scalenut's Starter lists at $59 for 5 articles, and auto-publishing starts on Plus, listed at $89 (its pricing page also showed a limited-time 60% discount).

Pros

  • AI-prompt tracking in ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews starts on the $59 Starter (10 prompts, checked weekly), with Perplexity added on Professional
  • GEO content audit of 200 pages a month on Plus and 1,000 on Professional
  • Plus covers 30 articles, 2 domains and up to 4 team members, with auto-publishing to WordPress and Shopify
  • Keyword clusters and article optimization are bundled at every tier (5 each on Starter, 30 on Plus)

Cons

  • Starter's 5 articles cost about $11.80 each at list price — the steepest per-article price on this list; 30 articles require the $89 Plus (~$2.97 each, versus ~$1.63 on Seonix's $49 plan)
  • Auto-publishing covers WordPress and Shopify only and starts at Plus; no hands-off publishing cadence is described
  • The GEO audit checks content, not the site's technical health — a monthly technical audit with fixes is reserved for the custom-priced VIP tier
  • No general refund policy and no published language count
What it is and how it is priced›

Scalenut bundles keyword clusters, AI-written and optimized articles, prompt tracking in ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews and, from the Plus tier, a GEO content audit of up to 200 pages a month with auto-publishing to WordPress and Shopify. List prices are $59 Starter (5 articles a month, 10 tracked prompts, one domain), $89 Plus (30 articles, 25 prompts, 2 domains, up to 4 team members) and $199 Professional (75 articles, 100 prompts, 1,000 audit pages, Perplexity tracking); the pricing page also shows a limited-time 60% discount on all three. There is a 7-day free trial, but no scheduled autopilot is described and no general refund policy is published.

Publishes to: WordPress, Shopify (auto-publish from the Plus plan)

Best for: Content teams that want keyword clusters, article optimization and AI-prompt tracking in one workspace and will run the publishing cadence themselves.

Soro

trysoro.com

Budget autopilot with unpublished plan details

Price$39per month
Articles / moNot published
Per articleUnknown
PublishesSite auditAI visibilityFree start

Our take: Choose Soro if a low autopilot entry price ($39 a month, the same as Arvow's Solo) matters most and you are comfortable subscribing before you see exact quotas. Choose Seonix if you want the numbers up front, a free plan to start with and a site audit, which Soro does not offer.

Pros

  • Low entry price for a full autopilot ($39/mo)
  • Brand-voice training on your existing content, 50+ languages
  • Broad CMS coverage including Notion and HubSpot

Cons

  • Plan details and quotas are not published — you learn exact limits after you pay
  • No free plan or trial; your card is charged from day one
  • No site audit or AI-visibility tooling
What it is and how it is priced›

Soro writes and publishes articles in your brand voice — it deep-scans existing content to learn it — across WordPress, Shopify, Webflow, Notion, HubSpot, Ghost, and Wix, in 50+ languages. Its headline price is low for a full autopilot, but the pricing page publishes only a starting figure: per-plan article quotas ("30 to unlimited", per its FAQ) are not listed, and there is no free plan or trial — a 14-day money-back guarantee stands in instead.

Publishes to: WordPress, Shopify, Webflow, Notion, HubSpot, Ghost, Wix, Next.js, webhooks

Best for: Price-sensitive buyers comfortable subscribing before seeing exact quotas.

Arvow

arvow.com

Credit-based autoblogging at a low entry price (formerly Journalist AI)

Price$39per month
Articles / mo~66
Per article~$0.59
PublishesSite auditAI visibilityFree start

Our take: Choose Arvow if you publish at high volume on a budget and do not mind credit accounting: about 66 articles fit in the $39 Solo plan. Choose Seonix if you want a technical site audit and AI-visibility scans in the base price; Arvow's brand-visibility tracking starts on its Business plan.

Pros

  • Low entry price with high nominal article capacity (≈66 standard articles on Solo)
  • Eleven publishing targets, including Squarespace, Blogger and GoHighLevel; 150+ languages
  • Automatic backlinks and LLM visibility on Business ($69, 5 sites)

Cons

  • Credit math needs attention: feed articles cost 25 credits, premium images 5, visibility prompts 6 each
  • Backlinks and LLM visibility require Business, not the $39 Solo
  • No site audit; no trial or refund stated on the pricing page
What it is and how it is priced›

Arvow — the rebranded Journalist AI — runs "AutoBlogs" that generate and publish articles on a schedule, priced in credits: a standard article costs 15 credits and the $39 Solo plan includes 1,000 a month for one site (feed-generated articles add 10 credits, premium AI images cost 5). The $69 Business plan covers 5 sites and adds automatic backlinks, LLM brand-visibility tracking (6 credits per prompt) and a Local SEO Booster; Ultimate is $249 for 9,000 credits and unlimited sites. Publishing spans eleven targets, from WordPress and Shopify to Blogger, GoHighLevel and Squarespace, in 150+ languages.

Publishes to: WordPress, Shopify, Wix, Ghost, Webflow, Framer, Blogger, GoHighLevel, Squarespace, Zapier, webhooks

Best for: Volume publishers on a budget who are comfortable with credit accounting.

SEOWriting.ai

seowriting.ai

Low-cost bulk SEO writer with WordPress scheduling and a Shopify app

Price$19per month
Articles / moUp to 50
Per article~$0.38
Publishes· WordPress, ShopifySite auditAI visibilityFree start

Our take: Choose SEOWriting.ai if you want cheap drafts in bulk, up to 50 a month for $19, and you will choose the topics yourself. Choose Seonix if you also want the research, the publishing cadence, the site audit and the reporting done for you.

Pros

  • Up to 50 articles for $19 — about $0.38 per article, the lowest per-article price among the article generators on this list
  • WordPress auto-posting, immediate or scheduled, in batches of up to 100 articles; a Shopify app
  • Free AI images and 50+ languages
  • 3 free articles with no card to test the output

Cons

  • Not an autopilot: no keyword-research loop or publishing cadence — you choose every topic
  • No site audit and no AI-visibility tracking — it only claims the text is "optimized for traditional search and AI answers"
  • Only two publishing targets: WordPress and Shopify
  • Internal and external linking only from the $79 Professional plan; refund not stated
What it is and how it is priced›

SEOWriting.ai is a writer, not an autopilot: you choose the topics and it drafts the articles — up to 50 a month on the $19 Starter (about $0.38 each) and up to 250 on the $79 Professional, which adds five brand voices and internal and external linking. Drafts post to WordPress immediately or at a scheduled date and time, in batches of up to 100, or to Shopify through its app; AI images are free and 50+ languages are supported. There is no keyword-research loop or publishing cadence, no site audit and no AI-visibility tracking.

Publishes to: WordPress (immediate or scheduled), Shopify app

Best for: Solo bloggers and WordPress or Shopify store owners who want cheap drafts in volume and are fine choosing topics themselves.

ZimmWriter

zimmwriter.com

Windows desktop bulk writer with no article limits — you bring the API keys

Price$24.97per month plus your AI API bill
Articles / moUnlimited
Per articleYour API cost
Publishes· WordPressSite auditAI visibilityFree start

Our take: Choose ZimmWriter if you are a technical Windows user with your own AI API keys and want unlimited bulk generation for a flat licence. Choose Seonix if you would rather not manage API keys, a desktop app and your own quality checks.

Pros

  • No caps on words or articles — a flat $24.97/mo licence while you pay model providers directly
  • Big bulk runs: up to 1,000 blog posts, 50 product roundups or 625 local SEO pages per batch
  • WordPress scheduling (daily, weekly, monthly or yearly) across up to 100 installs at no extra cost
  • Free courses and a Facebook group

Cons

  • Windows-only desktop app — no Mac or web version
  • Bring-your-own-keys means the real cost is the licence plus model usage, plus optional ScrapeOwl ($5/mo) and image credits
  • WordPress is the only publishing target; no site audit or AI-visibility tracking (both included in Seonix's $49 plan)
  • No free plan, trial or stated refund; languages not stated
What it is and how it is priced›

ZimmWriter is a Windows-only desktop app licensed at $24.97 a month or $247 a year. It sets no limits on words or articles because you plug in your own AI API keys and pay the model providers directly; optional add-ons are ScrapeOwl at $5/mo for SERP and Amazon data and Runware.ai images (about $10 per 5,250 images). Bulk runs reach 1,000 blog posts, 50 product roundups or 625 local SEO pages per batch, and finished posts can be scheduled daily, weekly, monthly or yearly to up to 100 WordPress installs at no extra cost. It is a generator you operate, not a research-to-publish autopilot.

Publishes to: WordPress (scheduled publishing, up to 100 installs)

Best for: Technical Windows users with their own API keys who want unlimited bulk generation and WordPress scheduling for a flat licence fee.

Where Semrush and Ahrefs fit

Many lists of AI SEO tools open with Semrush and Ahrefs. They are a different kind of tool, built for a different person.

Research suites: Semrush, Ahrefs

Built for the specialist who runs the work

  • Keyword databases and backlink indexes
  • Rank tracking and site audits
  • AI assistants added on top
  • Planning, writing, publishing and fixes stay with you

AI SEO autopilots

Built to take the work off your hands

  • Find the queries with demand for you
  • Write and publish on a schedule
  • Track results and refresh what slips
  • You approve instead of operating

Have an SEO specialist? A suite plus a writer works well. No specialist? Start with an autopilot and add a suite later.

How to choose the right AI SEO tool

You run a business and have no time for SEO

Pick a tool that publishes on its own and reports results in your Search Console. Check the monthly article quota the vendor states, the price per article and whether there is an approval mode for the first weeks.

You have writers or an agency

Pick an optimization platform that keeps people in charge of the text: briefs, scoring and tracking, with publishing as an option. Check seats too: Frase Starter is one seat and one site, Writesonic Starter one user and one project, and Scalenut lists up to 4 team members from its $89 Plus.

You run niche or affiliate sites at volume

Pick the lowest cost per article, and own the topic choice and quality control yourself. Volume is exactly where Google's scaled content abuse policy applies, so publish only pages that answer a real query, and edit every draft.

You care most about AI answers

Pick a tool that measures how assistants describe your brand, then publish clear, specific answers on the topics your customers ask about.

Seven questions to ask before you pay

  1. 1How many published articles do I get a month, exactly? Some vendors do not publish the number.
  2. 2What does one article cost on my plan once the price is divided by the quota?
  3. 3Does it publish to my CMS, or only export text I have to paste in?
  4. 4Can I approve drafts before they go live, and switch to full autopilot later?
  5. 5Does it check the whole site, or only the articles it writes?
  6. 6Can I see the results in my own Google Search Console?
  7. 7What are the trial limits and the refund terms if it does not work for me?

Will Google penalize AI-written content?

Not for being written with AI. Google judges the value of the page and spam, not the tool.

Fine with Google

  • AI-assisted pages that meet Search Essentials and the spam policies
  • Facts a person checked before publishing
  • Titles, descriptions and structured data you reviewed

What Google acts on

  • Scaled content abuse: many pages made mainly to manipulate rankings that add little value, however they were produced
  • Automated programs or services that create links
  • Excessive link exchanges

So check the tool's safeguards

Writes from what actually ranksChecks topic coverage before publishingLets you approve draftsNo automated link building

Three tools on this list bundle backlinks: BabyLoveGrowth (a partner network), Outrank (a credit exchange) and Arvow (from its Business plan). Ask how the links are placed before you switch that on: automated link creation and excessive link exchanges are the examples of link spam Google gives.

Sources: Google Search Central spam policies (updated August 28, 2026) and its guidance on using generative AI content (updated October 1, 2026).

How we compared

Each tool was checked against its official pricing page, plan pages and help center on October 9, 2026. Price is the cheapest plan that publishes or exports articles; cost per article is that price divided by the articles it includes. The order is our judgment of how much each entry plan covers (content, publishing, site audit and AI-visibility tracking), so weigh it as a vendor's view and use the table for the raw facts. We did not run paid tests of the other nine tools: this compares their published plans. Where a vendor does not publish a number, we say so. Spotted something out of date? Email info@seonix.ai and we will correct it.

The verdict

Pick by what you need done:

SEO handled for you

Start with the free site audit, then test publishing with the $1 trial.

Writers in charge of every word

Optimization platforms keep people on the text.

Raw volume on your own terms

Lowest cost per draft; topics and quality control are on you.

The $1 trial publishes up to three articles in three days, each with a small 'Created with Seonix' link, then renews at $49 a month unless you cancel.

Frequently asked questions

It depends on how much of the work you want done for you. For the full loop of research, writing, publishing, a site audit and tracking, Seonix (our product) costs $49 a month for 30 articles. Frase and Writesonic are stronger if your team optimizes content and tracks AI search by hand. SEOWriting.ai costs the least per article if you only need drafts in bulk; ZimmWriter's cost depends on volume, because its $24.97 licence comes on top of your own AI API bill.

Yes, within limits. Seonix's $0 plan runs a full technical site audit with no card and no time limit, and the free AI SEO Checker on seonix.ai scores whether ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews can read and quote a page. Among paid tools, SEOWriting.ai gives 3 free articles, Frase and Scalenut offer 7-day trials, BabyLoveGrowth a 3-day trial, and Writesonic and Outrank free trials, with Outrank's trial articles watermarked.

Entry plans in this comparison run from $19 to $99 a month, with BabyLoveGrowth at €99. The cost per published article tells you more: about $0.38 for SEOWriting.ai drafts, about $0.59 for Arvow's standard articles, $1.63 for Seonix, around $3.30 for Outrank and €3.30 for BabyLoveGrowth, $4.90 for Frase and $5.27 to $6.60 for Writesonic. Scalenut's Starter works out at $11.80 at list price because it includes only five articles; its pricing page also showed a limited-time 60% discount.

AI can now run most of the repetitive work on a schedule: keyword research, writing, on-page optimization, publishing, technical audits and reporting. Direction should stay with you: what to sell, which markets to target and which facts are true. No tool can promise rankings either; Google's own documentation says no one can guarantee a #1 position.

Not for being AI-generated. Google's guidance says AI-assisted content is fine when it meets Search Essentials and the spam policies. What it penalizes is scaled content abuse, meaning many low-value pages made to manipulate rankings, and link spam such as automated link building.

An AI writer turns a prompt into text. An AI SEO tool decides what to write from search data, shapes it after the pages that already rank, optimizes and publishes it, then measures whether it ranks and fixes what slips. Writing is one of six jobs.

For one-off tasks, yes: briefs, meta description variants, FAQ drafts and rewrites all work well. A general assistant does not pull search demand, read the pages that rank today, publish to your CMS on a schedule or measure results, so you run every step yourself, and Google asks publishers to fact-check AI output before it goes live.

Several tools measure it: Writesonic, Frase, BabyLoveGrowth, Scalenut and Seonix track or scan assistant answers on their entry plans, and Arvow from its Business plan. Measuring does not put you there by itself. What helps is publishing clear, specific answers on the topics your customers ask about, consistently, on a site that assistants can crawl.
